About Sounding

Sounding: Women ImprovisingWorld Music For Balance, Harmony & Transformation

Sounding is a multicultural group of women who love music and are aware of the healing properties of intentional sound. Sounding is music in the moment. All of the pieces that you will experience are created as you listen. Sounding is a feeling, an energy. It is the music of the spheres expressed through rhythm, melody and harmony as it is experienced in and through the various cultures of our world. From African to Celtic, from East Indian to Native American, from Salsa to Waltz, Sounding colors the world with love holding a constant intention to vibrate peace and joy for our planet.

Milagros Phillips, who has been a sound healer for more than 15 years, created Sounding as a way of bringing greater awareness of the power of sounds in healing and transformation. Sounding is fashioned in the tradition of community/tribal song. Our music is a global tapestry with spiritual overtones.

The women of Sounding bring passion, tranquility, diversity, originality and playfulness to your gatherings. They play from their hearts. Music is their expression of love!
